How to become a board member / officer of INTO

Are you looking for an exciting, interesting and inspiring way to spend your free time? Do you want to meet new friends?  Do you want to get more international experience?

Then it’s time for you to get active in INTO! In the international student club of TUT you will meet nice, happy, helpful and interesting Finnish and international people. We help the international students to feel home in Tampere during their exchange period, and we try to motivate and help Finnish students to study abroad for some time. There are plenty of happenings, events, parties to be organized, information to be spread, and many little and big projects to be tackled.

So if you are staying for a longer time at TUT as a student and are interested in getting involved, apply for a board or officer position.

Possible positions are:

Board:

1.       Chairperson

2.       Secretary

3.       Treasurer

4.       Event coordinator 1

5.       Event coordinator 2

6.       Communication responsible

7.       Public relations responsible

8.       Degree students responsible

Officers:

·         Utensils officer

·         Culture officer

·         Photographer

·         Degree student officer

·         Sports officer

·         IT officer

·         Guinness officer

·         …

What is required for the positions, and how to get them?

Board member:

·         The board will be elected at the INTO spring meeting: Tuesday, 7.4.09 at 18:00 in Pieni Sali 2

·         Apply: send email to chairman@into-club.org

·         All positions will be elected separately

·         Short introduction of candidates and questions 

(people not present will be presented by a representative)

·         Open/secret election

Requirements for board member:

·         Present at all/most board meetings (min. 4 board members need to be present in the meeting)

·         Motivation, creativity, reliability

·         Helpful attitude

·         Having FUN

·         Agree with the rules and values of INTO

Officer position:

·         Tell the board that you want to be an officer

·         Congratulations, you are an officer

Requirements for officer position:

·         Welcome at all board meetings (not mandatory)

·         Motivation, creativity, reliability

·         Helpful attitude

·         Having fun FUN

·         Agree with the rules and values of INTO
