Cottage Weekend

Finland

Hey you nature lovers!

Are you ready to experience real Finland? Join us in the finest wilderness adventure with INTO. We will go get lost in a cottage in the middle of nowhere, away from the noise of the city and ready to spend a relaxing weekend with your friends hiking, going to the sauna, swimming in the ice hole, playing games and basically just having fun!

We will depart on Friday around 15:00 and come back on Sunday afternoon. There is electricity and heating in the cottage, but no toilet or running water (there is a latrine outdoors). We will take an army tent with us, so that you can also experience the adventure of sleeping outdoors! Don't worry about freezing though, since the tent is heated from the inside ;)

The price of the trip is 25€ for INTO members and it includes transportation and meals (dinner on Friday; breakfast, lunch and light dinner on Saturday; breakfast on Sunday).

Things you need to bring along:

  • sleeping bag and optionally a sleeping mat
  • towel and any other sauna equipment you might need
  • warm clothes (the cottage is heated but you won't want to freeze when being outside)
  • proper boots/shoes if you're planning to go hiking
  • some snacks and enough drinks
  • the best mood!

Of course the amount of places is very limited. Sign-up for the event in this website and we will contact you if there's place for you telling you details about the payment.

Hi!

We are thinking about going to the cottage weekend with into but we do not know how to sing up for it. We are a group around ten people. So, what have we to do? and how much will it be?

Thank you!

Katie

Is sleeping bag really needed or normal linen would be also suitable?

A sleeping bag is prererrable, but also normal bed linen should do the trick. However it's recommendable to have some good isolation from the cold floor if you plan to sleep on the army tent.
