Fuksijaosto and Sporttipoppoo ? Shrovetide carnival

On Thursday 25.2 at 13-16 there will be a crazy carnival for fuksis and teekkaris at Näyttelijänpuisto in southern Hervanta. Come with a sled or a friend?s sled and enjoy! Remember your overalls. Fuksijaosto will introduce a new exciting game called ?Pölöpulkkaviesti?. There will be pea soup, shrove buns and juice by Sporttipoppoo. They will also challenge you to try slalom and fast ride with sleds! The winners will get fabulous prizes! On the game spot you can also play birdfootball and kyykkä. From this even you will get plenty of Fuksi points!

Become an International Tutor!

Do you remember your first days in Finland? Did you have a nice tutor
helping you sorting things out? Now it's time for you to return the
favour and become an international tutor! There are 400 exchange
students and over 100 international degree students arriving at TUT each
year. As an international tutor you will be the first contact for
international students arriving in Finland and your main task will be
helping the students getting started with everyday life and studies at
TUT and Hervanta. You will have a great chance to create new contacts
with Finnish and international students, improve your language skills
and your organizational as well as team working skills. Having been a
tutor will also be a merit on your CV! You will receive a certificate of
your tutoring. If you are a degree student at TUT and continuing your
studies here next semester, please send your tutor application by 24.2.

Olympic-Kolmiot 25.2.

Are you in good condition? On Thursday 25.2 there will be the Olympic-Kolmiot at the restaurant Onnela. Come to cheer yourself and your friends to the victory! Door will be open at 22.00 and the Olympic flame will go off at?well it depends on you, but at the latest on 4.00 am. The pre ticket is more precious than gold and you can get it from Juvenes book store or from Indecs? guild room. Price is 2 euros. With pre ticket You can pass the queue before 23:00. From the sports field there will be a bus transport back to Hervanta, leaving at 03:30 and it will cost 2 euros. Welcome!

HimoSki: There is still some free seats!

There are still some free seats for HimoSki downhill skiing trip. The trip takes place on Friday 26.2. Departure is at 9 o?clock a.m. and the return is around 19:30. The ticket price is 30 Euros (including transportation and they day ticket for skiing.) If your don?t have your own skies, don?t worry! You can also rent skies by us. (15 euros/skies or 22 euros/snowboard). You can ask free seats from Autek?s guidroom SC102. Registration on Monday 22.2 at latest.

Excusion to Poronkusema

TeLe is organizing a trip to north, to a legendary Poronkusema, with UTA Staabi. The adventure will be organized on 5.-7.3. You can enroll yourself to the biggest student event in Northern Finland at TeLe?s guildroom, if you bring 55 euros in cash with you. Price includes a transportation to Rovaniemi and back, the ticket to Poronkusema, accommodation, nightclub parties on Friday and Saturday as well as ?sillis? The closing party of the ?Vitsikisa? (Joke competition)

TAMPPI is organizing the closing party of the joke competition on 25.2 at the restaurant Pink. The party starts at 21:00. Entrance fee and the transportation for the party are free of charge! The transportation leaves from Obeliski at 21:00 and the destination is the drunken land! If you know a good joke, you will get free drinks, so if you are out of money, don?t worry, just be funny! There will be a white whale?s dance club: ?Bleisbois? having a great show!
